Ive had this router for about two weeks now, it was a replacment for the old Microsoft MN-500 (802.11b ). The MN-500 worked like a dream, not one dropped connection in over a year!
the DI-624 is a great router as its customizations are way beyond anything the MN-500 had. But the thing thats killing me is the frequent signal drops. Every now and again, the signal will drop then immediately sign back on. Under normal circumstances I wouldnt care, but it does it several times a day. The last time it happened I was sending a buddy a rather large file, then it hit causing a resend.
I used to have an old Linksys 4 port wired router with a piggybacked wireless base. I remember having to unplug and replug the power cord to get it to reset after a dropped conneciton. I never had to do that with the MN-500. Ive had to do that a coulple of times with the D LInk. Seems like Im back to the ol Linksys.
Anyone else have this problem? I went thru the setup and couldnt find anything that could be set wrong.
