It will mostly depend on what wireless chipset is used in your TR. Basically, there’s two different chipsets that have been used in the TRs. You either have a Intel PROWireless 802.11b or 802.11b/g or you have an Atheros based 802.11a/g or 802.11b/g or 802.11a/b/g (either in import models or self-installed wireless card).
For Intel chipsets, the Intel PROSet software is the best even though it doesn’t ship with the TRs. You’ll have to find a copy either at Intel or from a 3rd party. There’s a thread in this forum on how to get it.
For Atheros chipsets, there is a generic Atheros Clienty Utility which also doesn’t ship with the TR. You’ll have to obtain that via a 3rd party as Atheros doesn’t readily give it out. You can also find this on the forum.
In both cases, both softwares are much better than the built-in Windows Zero Config software as they give you more control over your device, allow for wireless profiles (so you won’t lose connections), better detection of wireless signals (shows you available access points and signal strength), and better security interfaces.
