Hi,

I have had my TR2A for a couple of weeks now - and I absolutely love it - its a beautiful little machine.  I decided to do a clean reinstall thinking this woiuld all be relatively simple.  I do not have any recovery disks as I assumed i would be able to get all the drivers etc from the net.

Nothings seems to work now :(  .  The function keys, the camera, the hot keys on the side.  Can anyone provide me a one stop site which will go through what to do to get mt TR2A to behave again.  Its driving me absolutely nuts.

Dont you worry about a thing.

Personaly I whould ask SONY to ship me the DVD recovery since this is the easiest way to solve all your problems.

I had the same issue, i thought i could find all drivers from the net but… i did go ahead and foramted everything without having secured at least a set of recovery disks.

You can fix the camera but probably you wont go far with the combo keys.  Try the new drivers updated at the sony support site and if you still can’t figure anything I will email you the camera drivers you need, but for the combo keys I really acnt help you.  I fixed mine after i got the DVD from sony.

I am in the UK - I could pay whatever u want on Paypal - that is not a problem.  Are they TR2A disks?  Would it be better to get the DVD from Sony - or could you provide me the same thing?

One last thing - will the recovery disk need me to reinstall XP Home as I now have XP Pro on my machine - how does the recovery disk work?  Will i just be able to install the apps/drivers i need off the disk?
