Me and another member are having problems with our x505s frying SSDs. Just wondering if anyone has experienced this as well.

I do, in my TR.  The 30 GB Samsung version. Just recently.  I m thinking of selling it.  If you like my Samsung 30 GB SSD (it’s compatible with the X505 as well as TR), please send me pm.

I have a 32GB Samsung SSD in my X505.
It’s been installed for about 3 years now.
No problem of any kind.

I’ve been running the 2.5” 32GB SSD in my TR1A and TR1AP with no problems for a few years now.  They did speed things up initially but now I have a Sony Z590 with 256GB Corsair P256 SSD and it flies!

What sort of problems specifically have you been having?  SSDs can have problems just like any other HD (different problems, but can have problems).

Installed Samsung SSD 16GB (MCAQE16G8APR; shipped from australia to germany) two years ago. The only reason why my TR is still in use. Runs like a charm with WinXP. Will use my TR as a homeserver in future (ruby on rails projects). What are you using your TR for?
