Hey everyone. Well like many brethren here who taken the plunge to vista ive been contemplating the same. In the midst of my confusion, i came across a pretty decent site. Im sure someone here has seen this already. Basically if you want the L k of Vista ( which i wanted) without its many hassles (like the camera not working, no Volume etc) go to this website:

and click on “vista transformation pack 6.0”. It installs without a hitch and also gives you options at the end on what to install and what not to. So far im loving it on my TR. Just the Vista home wallaper makes it look better than XP. You also get the Vista sidebar that can show you an array of things on your home page. If you dont want the “transformation pack”, you can also just install the sidebar application.

I may be wrong in this, but the TR seems to be running faster. Maybe it Diggs its new “undies” . If anyone else tries this, do post your comments here.

Nice find leprikhan! But I have to admit, I am not sure if I want to install this yet. I just recently went through a whole list of tweaks to perform on XP in order to have a fast / better performing laptop. This included removing the wallpaper and theme sounds as well as many other things.

I think I will wait to hear what others feel first to see if the general consensus is that this application will not bog down the system.
