I have done everything…it seems to be a software problem but what I don’t know…I just formatted the laptop today and then put all the drivers back on and loaded the software and then again the webcam screen just goes blank…it will work for like 5 minutes and then just go black.  It doesn’t seem like it is the hardware.

Please anyone that has experienced this and found a fix…please please let me know what to do…I am at my wits end.

Usually they just die but yours maybe be dieing, not a lot you can do but check connections and maybe see if it’s dieing is heat related (as it works for 5 mins). 

You can get the covers off and to the camera without disasembling the screen, (see below topic), once off you could try with a desk fan or a/c unit blowing on it just to see if these cam deaths are heat related. if it works longer than 5 mins then it could be. Of course I’m assuming it’s working for 5 mins then not working again until you next turn on the laptop?

It’s a hardware problem.

BUSHMAN suggested to use PCGA-UVC11A, but i couldnt find it. I found PCGA-UVC11 on ebay a couple of weeks ago and got it to work just fine.
