[quote author=“brewt”]The Core 2 Duo ULV chips (one of them being a 1.2GHz dual core) that are scheduled to be released in the 3rd quarter of this year are supposed to have a TDP of 5W. A U1400 has a TDP of 5.5W, so technically, the cooling shouldn’t need any changes (it should work a bit better).
Argh, sorry, I mis-remembered the info I read a few weeks ago. The 5W chips are in fact just Core 2 Solo (not Duo).
The Core 2 Duo ULV chip is set to come out Q2/Q3, but is only a 1.06GHz chip with a TDP of 11W (which is kind of weird since the current Core Duo ULV 1.2GHz CPU has a TDP of 9W).
In regards to the TX4, it’s not much of a change from the TX3, so Vista running on it should perform around the same as on the TX4 (assuming the systems have the same amount of memory).
