Forgive me for this noobish question, I’m such a noob at this technical mumbo jumbo but hope to learn eventually.
Since the latest TXs use the Core Solo and thus the Core architecture, would it be perhaps possible to swap out the CPU and upgrade it with a ULV Core Duo chip as is in the Asus S6F and Averatec 1500 or perhaps upgrade it to a future released ULV Core Duo processor?
How does the 1.2 ghz Core Solo in the latest TXs compare with the 1.2/1.3 ghz Pentium Ms in the previous TXs?
Also in North America, what is the difference between the TXNs and TX8XX? I think its only that the latter has Sprint’s EVDO WWAN modem and the TX8XXs don’t have the built in WWAN modem and antenna?
Also, I noticed in my Bestbuy that the TXN was slighty thicker at the back than the TX750P also at the store and I also confirmed it by looking at both machine’s dimensions on Sony’s website. Is the TX8XX also slightly thicker? The TXN is a North American model only right? And the TX8XX is called the TX3 in Europe and elsewhere just like the TX6XX is called TX1 and TX7XX is called TX2?
The newest TXs aside from having the new Core Solo, also have a fingerprint reader, shock protected hard drive right? I also heard they have better screens with less bleeding at the bottom and less fan noise and other improvements?
Does anyone remember in an official press release from Sony Europe that they explicitly said the TX2 would be fanless? Why did they lie like that? Why can I sue their asses off and use the money to build a fortress of TXs?
Sorry for all the questions, I like asking questions, hope you wonderful fellows can answer as many as possible. :D
