What a bummer… was watching a cricket match online and just then it started making whirring noises (much more scarier sounding than the regular clicking)....I immediately switched it off and restarted it and it gave me the message OS could not be found. Stupid thing had to die close to the weekend…

Anyway’s could someone please quickly confirm if both the drives on the following page are the same:

since page computer from the second link has listed it much cheaper than computer giants from the first link, but page computer lists the part # as HDD1544.

The model numbers are the same, which is important.  The pictures get mixed up sometimes though.

Thanks, I placed an order from page computer but they said that they didn’t have it in stock so they cancelled the order. I finally placed the order from computer giants.

the important thing to into is the extension at the back MKxxxxxGAH or MKxxxxxGAL. the is difference is the height 8mm and 5mm I guess.

The 2nd thing is the ATA stds. This one you have to confirm, the motherboard can support up to which ATA??
