SONY manufactured battery recall - Does it affect the TR3???

Just curious… These days, I am reading about the massive Sony manufactured Li-Ion battery recall. As I own a SONY VAIO TR3AP1, I wonder if there has been any information regarding the safety of these batteries?

I think just abuout every except Sony has issued recalls… maybe they knew better than to use their own stuff.

To be honest a recall would be nice, I assume you’d get a new 0 charge cycle battery.

Seems like the VAIO TR3 batteries were manufactrued by SONY, hence they might not suffer from the “cut-corners-and-build-them-cheap” syndrome. I do admit that replacing my regular and high-capacity batteries with “0-cycle” ones would be welcome.  :D However, my main concern is safety. :wink:
