I got my tr5b ( a japanese model ) from this HongKong retailer more than 2 years ago. Apparently, he has gone out of business. I dont know who to ask assistance from.
The TR5B is not included in the US support site. The US support team gave me a number to call in JAPAN - apparently the language is in Japanese - couldn’t understand a single word in their menu.
The tr5b has the following specs (1.1ghz, upgrade to 1gb ram, 40gb hard drive, bluetooth, and dvd-r/rw).
My tr5b crashed more than a more a month ago. Apparently, I wasn’t able to create recovery disc. I thought all the while the recovery disc is included in the box (silly me). Was able to buy a hard disk replacement… but would need the recovery disc OR drivers for the hardware…
Need Help, where can I possibly get (or download) a copy of the recovery disk or at least drivers for the components. Are all components the same for both japanese and english units? IF they are, what about the driver for the matshita UJ 812-b… considering that are only limited models that came with dvd-r/rw.
Need your suggestion. :o
