I’m helping out a friend whose TR1A’s UJ-812 will no longer recognize any kind of DVD media. We’ve tried everything including a firmware upgrade, but no dice. So, I am looking to replace the drive with a working model.

I have seen a few on eBay, but before I go that route, I wanted to drop a line here to see if anyone could help out.
