I have a Vaio TR5MP and would like to upgrade from the original 40GB drive to the new 80GB (yes I have an original Tosh drive not the Hittachi).  I am wondering whether this new drive using perpendicular technology has the same connector as my motherboard?
Any advice would be most gratefully received

The 8007GAH was my preferred choice for a replacement HDD on my TR5MP. Unfortunately the price premium on these drives made the 6006GAH my own viable choice.

Hi, I never tracked down the 80Gb in the UK but I got a new 6006GAH off Ebay. They seem pretty popular though, for Ipods.

I intended to get one off http://www.dabs.com but they had none in stock and mine was almost dead.

BTW I paid circa £80
