Sony announced today the new tx line up that will be coming out soon. Includes support for Sprint EVDO Rev. A instead of the normal EDGE network from Cingular. For the exception of the EVDO modem everything is essentially the same except for the addition of a fingerprint reader

Yeah, I don’t get how Sony has remained with Cingular for so long, perhaps hoping for a quick HSDPA rollout which never came. Sprint is showing some really taunting commercials about Cingulars slow EDGE service here. Sony needs Sprint EVDO in the SZ also.

so i guess this “new” sony is nothing more than a “lil-pimped-up” european tx3, nearly the same specs :wink:
