My webcam stopped working!... The last thing that I recall doing before it stopped was that I uninstalled the Vaio Integrated Media Server because I never use it and wanted to free up hard drive space… Can this be the problem?? Anyone know how I can reinstall it with out reimaging my machine? 

When I use video chat, the other person gets my audio fine but the video is just a dark image. You can’t make anything out. Any advice would be a big help!

No, VAIO Media Integrated Server has nothing to do with your webcam functions. Most likely your webcam got MotionEye sickness as most TRs do nowadays. Search with forum for a possible solution.

Thanks for your help & everyone that has posted in the forum about the webcam “issues”... I found that it can see a bright flashlight. I found the directions to replace it and went through the disassemble without any problem… Now I just need to buy the replacement smile  The timing was just a coincidence that it failed while I was clearing up hard drive space.
