sup guys..just registered to this forum…just had a question to you guys that already have this notebook…i won this ebay auction today and will have the notebook sometime next week…after paying i forgot to ask if it came with the restore cds…the seller did say that the notebook is brand new..so the restore and software cd’s should be included in the original packaging rite??  can’t wait till i get this thing…1 more question…the difference between the tr2a and the tr3a is only the wifi card rite??  thx again…

I guess it depends on the model and origin.  My North America TR2AP3 came with no CDs… just the files in a hiden partition on the HD to create the CDs yourself.

As per your second question… I am not sure about that.  I thought the difference was the DVD-RW, but I could be wrong.

25cent, wouldn’t it be better you ask the seller instead of us? And, why didn’t you ask before you bid? Frankly speaking, no matter what answers we give you, you still won’t know unless you ask the seller.

thx for the replies guys..i asked the seller and he told me that it didn’t come with the recovery cds..but reading thru the forums i found that in the newer tr’s sony puts the original image on hd.  when i make the recovery cds will all the software be on there also?? thx

All the software that Sony mentioned in its website will be there. Nothing more… nothing less. If you’re not sure, it should be pretty much the same as the TR3. Or take a look here
