Howdy. I’m a newbie to A2DP, not a newbie here…

I have a couple of rather basic questions about A2DP and bluetooth that some kind soul might answer.

* Am I correct in assuming that “Bluetooth 1.1” or “Bluetooth 2” and such are hardware versions, not software versions? If this is correct, it leads onto…

* What hardware version of Bluetooth did the BT-equipped TRs ship with?

Basically, no doubt like a few other people I am wondering whether a BT stereo headset will work with my TR1MP. I’ve already installed the Toshiba BT stack and have my old phone BT headset working nicely.

It’s my understanding that A2DP won’t work on the TR, but that one can upgrade the internal BT to a version that does. The threads on that looked rather complicated, but I’ll no doubt give it a go if my assumptions turn out to be right…
