Hi, all!
I’ve been a visitor to this forum for a few weeks, but I believe that this is my first posting. Incidentally, it’s an ad for a TR1A.
I bought this package from another member of the forum. I’ve only had it for a handful of days. I also have a UX180P and a small tablet PC, so I’m having a hard time justifying holding on to this TR1A. It’s an awesome ultraportable, but I am trying to exercise some sensibility :D . The unit is in excellent condition.
Sony TR1A
* Pentium M - 900MHz
* 1GB RAM
* All original boxes, packing material, booklets, recovery discs
* Windows XP Professional SP2 (legal copy, license stays with laptop)
* Symantec AV Corporated Edition (legal copy, license stays with laptop)
* DVD+-R/RW drive (Matshita UJ-812) Original CDRW/DVDROM included
* Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG 802.11b/g mini-PCI Original mini-PCI wireless card included
* Three AC adapters
* Standard battery
* Extended battery
* Sony Vaio carrying pouch (zippered pockets, elastic side pocket, etc.)
All hardware and functions of the laptop are working beautifully under XP Pro. The only thing I haven’t configured is the Motion Eye camera. The driver is installed, but when you select the camera, the green LED comes on, and all you get is a grey box where the “viewfinder” should be. I’ve seen other users on the forums having the same issue with XP SP2. If time permits, I’ll continue to work on correctly installing and configuring the camera driver(s) and software.

PRICE: $1000 OBO. I’m also interested in any trade ideas that you have. This would also apply to the UX180P, but I’ll write more on that in another post.
Please review my eBay feedback (seller: crisisx) and be confident in doing business with me. I can also provide many references from other user forums (AximSite, MobilityToday, Brighthand, Craigslist, TabletPCReviewSpot, etc.) where I’ve bought/sold with other users.
Feel free to email/PM/IM me with any questions, etc. that you have.
Thanks for your time!
