[quote author=“Anonymous”]Doesn’t anyone else except me just use the touchpad in the TR like g-d and sony intended?
i use it only if there is no place to keep a mouse or if I need to use the TR for a short while only. For prolonged periods of time, I use the mouse only. I also find it slightly difficult to mark text with the touchpad.
[quote author=“Anonymous”][quote author=“TruthSeeker”]you are pretty bold to even infer what GOD’s intentions are
Note the use of “g-d”, which was meant to make it clear the expression “as God intended” was used in its secular sense - as it usually is in daily conversation.
Phrases such as this pervade our culture and do not imply belief or non-belief on the part of the user.
Please note that I have withdrawn my comment by editing my previous post. I understand that this is not the place for spiritual discussion. In addition, I have read your comments referencing the secular nature of your post and offer my apology. I jumped the gun.
Now to get back on track (subject)...I just ordered a Bluetake BT500 on Ebay. I am not thrilled with the looks or the fact that it is not a trackball, but I do want a travel compatible (small) Bluetooth device. I love having the internal BT capability and want to take full advantage of it.
As I am just about to make the plunge and get my first TR (it will also be my first windows machine as I use macs) it is great to see images of your laptops, it makes me more want mine more. Also apple mice suck, no left or right click is just plain annoying. :D
Beautiful…but I was wondering, if I wanted to get into tablets…how would I go about doing so for the really cheap? I’ve seen Wacom, and they go skyward hundreds of dollars.
The basic Wacom Graphire 3 is only $99 MSRP and is the best place to start. They normally sell for $69-79 online so that’s not bad. I don’t recommend any other brand since they don’t tend to be as good as Wacom. Also, many others require extra batteries, corded styli, etc.
It’s their professional line that’s expensive but most people don’t need that level of accuracy. If you do, then you’ll likely know that you do and the price of the tablet will be peanuts to you.
I use the Kensington PocketMouse Bluetooth Optical. No cords, no USB dongles. It’s usually only used at home but when I travel I do take it with me. The pad is OK for occasional use but a mouse provides much quicker and more accurate control in my opinion.
