Hi everyone,

I have a prob with my beloved TR. Almost everytime when switching from using only the Tr Monitor to using only my external vga screen it reboots. Once rebooted I have the redo the Fn Combo and it then works normally.
I don’t get it.
Please.. help :cry:  coze it’s just a pain.

Your problem rings a bell: I think I used to have a reset switching between internal screen and monitor on my TR1MP.  It was a year or two ago, but I believe the problem went away when I did an upgrade to latest drivers (either for the display, or possibly for a separate switch utility) from the Sony web site.

So: check all relevant drivers/utils are up to date.

thanks spooley for your answer. I haven’t done any upgrade of the drivers yet. Do you by any chance happen to have the drivers on on your computers for me? Or where can i get the latest drivers on the net?

Thom, I think you’re probably best off fetching them from Sony.  I think I got a set of driver updates from http://www.vaio-link.com/downloads/register/register.asp?l=en&p=select ... that page seems to want a Sony product number to let one in ‘though and I’m afraid I don’t have time to investigate further at the moment as I’m off out.  Hope you find what you need, Simon.

thks for the link, What the driver version you are using so i know withc one i should be looking for.

I found a solution   here on the forum. If anyone ever get BSOD when switching computer to external monitor.
i m now   8)  :D
