Yes, it does runs on WM5 and that device is known as WILLCOM “W-ZERO3.” Specs can be found in its official site: 1 and 2 .

Sold, I’m getting one.
the exchange rate says it’s about $1750 Aussie from Japan and about $2300 from the USA. Japan is offering three models of course including a Centrino chip as well as the Core solo so that might be the difference. They are probably only going to bring the max spec’d model out in the US.

I wonder how hot it’ll be when you hold it.
And if the 30Gb can be replaced to let’s say 80Gb.
And is the RAM built into the board? or can it be upgraded to 1Gb?

The specs say : either 20GB or 30GB.
I highly doubt it will ever change.

Now, from my point of view, the keyboard kind of ... sucks.
I’m typing right now on a PCG-U1 and I can’t picture myself typing with my thumbs only. They should have used a keyboard that you can use “normally”.

Same here . My first priorities are the U then PS3 if i have money which i see i dont think is happening. I also dislike how sony still makes you buy the DVD drive :(. Also first I love sony did this but im still upset at sony’s stepups. Performance barely increased from the older U. U71P was 1.1 P-M 512 ram 30G HD and new one just slightly faster but looks alot better. If this didn’t come out i still would of gotten the older U since its still the fastest compared to the oragami but now they got this :wink:. I also like the add on’s there amazing. But i always was pissed at the old U look it was kinda ugly.

EDIT: Also just saw the HD in the U is 5400rpm!!! That is very huge boost up. Graphics are much better the intels 950. So heres the thing will this U ruin the TX or you guys think not since most people will think this is a toy and they think its slower.

Always wanted something that small running win xp to carry around. I think it also has a CF slot and Memory stick of course.
are there any other ports on the unit itself or is everything on docking station?
