Hi all,

I have recently been looking to upgrade my graphics card on the pc from the nVidia 5600 (128MB) to this lovely 7800GS (512MB):

My main worry is compatability in all area’s!! So far I have looked around inside of my Vaio to try and find the motherboard & processor manufacture model number, but I haven’t been able to locate it.

Another worry is the power supply, but from reading other forums I need about 450Watts+ since the one inside the machine is only cutting at 300W. I have already found a suitable PSU that will work with the graphics card correctly too.

My 3rd and final question is…. will my Giga Pocket TV Recorder & View still work, I’m guessing that the Vaio Media will run fine as long as the GPT is still functioning I mainly worry if the drivers mess up, although I do have the install files just in case (been preparing carefully for these future events ).

Please Please Please, try and help me if you can, I’ve google’d and yahoo’d over 50 pages with the maximum response being 800Mhz front-side bus…. not really enough info at all….  :shock:

My main reason for this sudden rush is because the graphics card is limited to only 1500 on the production line and IS THE WORLDS FASTEST AGP CARD TO DATE!!

I don’t just need this for gaming (he he), but also for working on 3D modelling (3DS max 8) as the current card takes way to long to load the renders I create!!

So help another Sony brother if you can boys and girls!!
