Hi everyone

My laptop is not working properly.  I can’t see anything on my laptop.  When I power it up you hear the usual sounds of drives starting up, but that’s it.  I don’t see the Vaio logo or the loading screen just a blank screen with a backlight.  I connected an external monitor and the same thing happens.  Please can anyone suggest anything that might be causing this issue?
