Sorry if I’m posting in the wrong place, but I can’t figure out where to get feedback on an FJ series notebook.  Perhaps someone here could help or point me in the right direction:

I recently bought an FJ 250 at Costco and it had a loud fan that kept powering off an on, up and down like a revving engine.  From what I’ve read here, I’m not the first to experience this behavior.  I exchanged the unit and got one with a quieter, more well behaved fan, but now I’m experiencing a different sound: sometimes, when a window is open on the screen, I can here a faint, high-pitched “feedback”.  This sound goes away momentarily when there is activity, such as minimizing or maximizing the window, but then re-occurs as soon as the activity stops.  It kind of sounds like screen noise that I used to hear from aging CRT monitors, but when I listen closely, it sounds as if the noise is coming from the bottom portion of the lap top (front left) rather than the screen/lid.  I’m wondering if this is a common issue with VAIO notebooks or if I got another dud.  Any help would be greatly appreciated
