I bought the DSC T5 just after xmas and was really disappointed with its results especially the indoor shots. I am now selling it on ebay and wondered whether the T9 was significantly better or whether to go for another make, eg the pansonic or the Casio? Has anyone out there got any ideas?

The T9 is an improvement over the others in the series but it still can be a little weak on indoor shots. The image stabilization helps a bit though. The Canon Digital IXUS (PowerShot or IXY) is a great choice. The SD550 is a pretty good choice.

I like my Sony DSC-N1 but it’s a little thicker than the slim models. However, the flash range is excellent and the 3” screen works very well. Indoor shots are pretty darned good.

i agree, i think the main problem behind the T series is that the lens is quite small and so it compromises on the quality of the shots to achieve its diminiutve size…

im not sure about the T9, and i dont know if they have changed the lens..

i have an ixus and i am very, very happy with the quality of pictures, movies and overall build of the digicam…however, i am considering upgrading soon to the new series (ixus, 60, 65 and 800)...

canon ixus, highly recommended!
