Are we sure its a 1.8” drive? Who makes them? Where can I buy them?

Yes, they definately, fully sure use 1.8” drives. Pretty hard to find and expensive compared to standard 2.5” notebook drives but not impossible, pretty expensive though, especially the newer 80 gb versions.
