OK, no flames as i’m a happy dual user:
I have 4 iMac’s, a Powermac, an iBook and two g3’s desktops, 3 desktop PC’s, two Centrino laptops, a dual proc server running linux, etc.
We all know how apple is soooo good at marketing, every movie or TV show has a powerbook or an apple display whenever they need computers, but i thought this kind of took the cake.
I went into a Domayne store (kind of like your Walmart I guess but a little more upmarket, furniture and electrical retailer) and went to the apple section. The employee was wearing a Polo shirt with an Apple logo on it and hung around his neck was a new Nano 1GB on the lanyard earphones.
While he was looking up a price for me I asked him what he thought of his Nano. And he said “I don’t know. We’ve had this one for a couple of weeks but I haven’t got earphones for it and I don’t want to use these one’s cause some other dude has”.
What! The Nano wasn’t his. He was required to wear it like a name badge, promote the brand you know.
