Hi everyone,

I’ve recently installed my lovely new Atheros AR5006XS MiniPCI wireless card in my PGC-TR3 (Australian Model) but now the hardware wireless switch on the front of the laptop does not work.
If you switch it on and off the light goes on and off but not the Radio of the wireless card.

Any ideas how i get this to work?

Something probably got unplugged during the installation. You probably need to open it back up and check the wiring and ribbon cables and resecure the wireless card.

The switch just stops and starts the power to the wireless card. If you power the machine up with the switch “on” and your wireless card doesn’t work, I’m afraid it’s something more fundamental than just the switch.

It might be the new card. I would put the old one back in just to figure out if it’s the card or the laptop.
