I wasn’t going to start a post like this, but since Groovy put up the hearts on top, I figured what the hell.

This V-Day is a rather expensive one for me…I was dating a girl for 3 weeks and V-Day was coming up. She, being a cool techie, wanted a portable DVD player…she dropped enough hints. Me, being the really cool guy I am, decided to buy her a 10” one and give it to her 2 weeks early because she was taking a road trip and I figured she would like to use it. Me, being the idiot, breaks up with her about 4 days later.

On to girl #2 I met 3 days after. We went out 5 times in 2 weeks…so it was the standard flowers and chocolates.

Of course, the girl of my dreams, who I’ve been after for about 2 years now, finally broke up with her BF and tells me last night that she’s ready to date…so that’s set up for Saturday night. Girl #2 will be broken up with on Friday (don’t have the heard to dump on V-Day) and now for Girl #3…I’m off to Tiffany’s to buy her something special.

Yup, this V-day will end up costing over $500.

I learned an important lesson this year, V-Day gifts get presented on V-Day, not a day earlier.

Congrats i didn’t do anything for my girls lol ouch 500$ thats alot.

I find that doing/making personal things is usually a winning combination. It’s definitely appreciated and you don’t often end up blowing a ton of cash.

I’m making dinner for my woman. French cuisine is the menu. Most likely rack of lamb with pomme de terre and haricot verte. Also with a salad de poire…i’ll post photos later.

As for her gift, I simply found a bunch of memorable photos of us and made one of those bound photo books (like the kind you keep on your coffee table) on Shutterfly.com. It doesn’t cost a lot but it’s a very memorable gift! Luckily, my woman isn’t into material things.  :wink:

That’s hot…too bad the only things I can cook are frozen or pasta…and even then you really take a chance

She used to rant about how the photo frames where not put to any use so i got her a tool set with a LARGE hammer. She was very happy.. Women are so damn silly !

Believe it or not, my wife got a jar of Marmite from me. I had to get someone to get me one from England. And she really was thrilled!

I think that’s the traditional cue for the Aussies to come and extol the virtues of Vegemite.

I tried it once, which was more then enough for me
