I was just curious to whether USPS Money Order is a safe way to pay for online auction purchases. I would think myself that it is not safe at all. Isn’t it true that once I send the money order, there is no way to get the money back in case the seller doesn’t ship the items to me?
I’ve heard of many scams of buyers tricking sellers with fake postal money orders but what about me paying an unknown seller with a real postal money order?

dude just pay like credit card u cant be robbed they have best lawyers and they are the safest thing in the world like Visa etc

If I had the choice, of course I’d pick credit card. I just wish the seller I’ve been eyeing would accept that, she only accepts USPS Money Orders, so my nose is smelling a scam…..

yup, definitely stay away… I was once selling a book online and was contacted by a person who wanted to pay by money order but I was curious and asked him if it was safe for him and he told yes it was and he dealt in that way all the time. Anyway’s, there was nothing wrong with my intentions so I did receive the money order from him, deposited it and once it went through I sent him his book.

Ya rahul but u did regular money orders this is done with USPS big ass gov run business you cant get skrewed over by the big shots. And yes it is safe almost same as credit card. And if you get it insured with tracking you all are set to go seeing when its arriving or if they missed you at your doorstep

Going to use that when i purchase my notebook save 700$ its new and from website heh have to get my TR when i buy it in June or novemeber to last at least 3 years for collage which it should i could always fix things like HD easy stuff ^^ expecially if i go to computer school not sure but teacher could do it lol or go in differnt area and just figure it out or hire someone

Paypal doesn’t refund the buyer the money immediately. They give the seller sometime to provide tracking information and once that is done they take about 2 weeks (yes, it is irritating) to investigate further and since their coverage is related only to the shipment of goods they will release the funds to the seller. So, as long as you have tracking information you should be safe.

Never mind everyone, the person I was interested in buying Vaio notebooks from turned out to be a scammer, a very large one in fact. Shes a college student from Indiana that has scammed many people using many different usernames especially on http://www.auctionfire.com. Basically, never send any payment to PO Box 279 in Kouts, Indiana.
