I was an early adopter but I’ve decided that this machine is just not for me. While I love the size of an ultraportable, the type of work I do requires more horsepower than any of the current offerings. I’ve decided to put it up for sale. Before I put it on eBay, is there anyone here who would like to make an offer? It’s a TX651P/B, lightly used, with all the original packing material. I have upgraded it to 1GB with Crucial RAM and will include the ZeroShock case. I will restore the hard drive contents back to their original state as I had previously removed Windows and installed (successfully) Linux.
Probably the easiest way would be PayPal, but I’m open to other options. I realize this would be a large transaction and am willing to do what I can to make it as easy and safe as possible.
Honestly, I don’t really know. I’ve never had the opportunity to use one before.
If you’re really interested, make me an offer in a private message. I’m happy to talk to you via phone, provide some information on myself, and do what it takes to make you comfortable with the transaction.
I paid $2,299 and then added the case and memory. The latest price for the machine at CDW (where I purchased it) is $2,099. I would be willing to part with it here for $1,500. If no one here wants it, I’ll put it up on eBay in the next few days (username: darogillio).
