i have a tr2ap3 and my battery is dead. it only lasts 20 minutes after a full charge. the OEM battery from sony is over $300. i saw some on ebay that are aftermarket batteries but i am leary of buying aftermarket. i found a refurbished battery from sony, but what is the quality of a refurbished battery?

over my many years of owning vaio notebooks and other brands as well, the general consensus is to avoid aftermarket batteries…some folks swear they are ok, but i’ve heard horror stories about aftermarket batteries ruining someones notebooks…

i’ve purchase quite a few sony refurbs from ubid over the years, never any trouble w/ any of them, and always got the OEM life specs out of them…so i can say i’d recommend refurbed, but that’s just me…

in the end, sony is gonna backup a refurb, especially purchased from them…but even the ubid ones i got came w/ a sony warranty card…90 days…
