I’ve recently started to convert all my systems to gigabit…I’m up to 4 thusfar…curious if anyone else has started to, or already done so.

I did some basic tests when I first put up 2 PCs with it, my times for transfering files essentially were cut in half. I transfer a lot of files that are well over 5GB and the difference between 20 mins and 10 mins is huge when you do it with a lot of files and plenty of times during the day.

As I’m currently back living with my parents until I move to Japan for a year I’m stuck with their wireless network :(

When I buy my own place (so about two years!) I’ll definately be doing giga.
