Hey, Sony keeps pupming out more Ts as they used to with Sony Clies….
Announced today, Sony is stepping up the picture quality of ultra-slim digital still cameras with the introduction of its new Cyber-shot® DSC-T9 model, the first in this category to offer both Super Steady Shot® optical image stabilization and high light sensitivity.

Finally a bump in specs, the 5 megapixel sensor was getting a little long in the tooth. My T1 is still kicking going on two years here, I’ll probably wait until a revision without the sliding lens cover.

That’s funny because I find it hard to buy one without…I hate searching for an on/off button, I think a slide is much easier/quicker.

I like the slimmer profile of cameras without the sliding cover, plus my T1 has scratches on the camera body from dust and grit getting under the slider.

Good point, I guess I’ve either used mine in better conditions or got rid of them before the dirt could scratch the cases.

Well yeah there are a ton of changes. It’s thicker, but it’s 6MP and has that low light and image stabalizer thing.

3 significant changes…and its thicker.
