I think there’s a 30gig single platter internal hard drive, and the 40gb is suppose to be released soon. (Or should have already been released) Personally the hard drive space is fine for school work, long as you have atleast 1 other main computer at home.
The 40gb hd has two platters, which has been released for a while. I bought one about half a year ago, but only use it as an external hard disk with a 1.8” external box.

The 40Gb single platter one was announced last year and they are avaible for sale since august. The single platter test.

You don’t find an X505 in Germany very often. In fact, there wasn’t any lately (not even scam) and this one’s even the Carbon Fiber version. So, 29 minutes before the auction ended, my family was at my place. For dinner. I said to myself “well… it’ll probably be too expensive anyway”.
I came back to my place, of course I didn’t get the computer because I wasn’t there and…
1400EUR.
That’s exactly what I would have wanted to pay (probably even a bit more, I won’t let an X505 for approximately the price I’ve been dreaming about escape that easily!) and now this particular one is lost to me, forever.

i recommend u to write the seller an email to keep in touch, u never know
Hehe, thanks. Already did that right after seeing who the winner was After all, it’s also possible that the seller wasn’t satisfied with the relatively low price and bidded himself on it. Well, if it’s not going to be too much more…
Anyways, I think I have to seriously check everything if I’m going to buy it. There are just way too much scammers advertising notebooks.
GL buying one Frodo but at your university do they have power outages because the TR’s battery life and HDD is something you may want to consider and if you need to you could probualy sell your TR5 for at least $900 US dollars. But say if you only have 2 classes 1 hour each X505 will last just that long ^^. If I had that money i might have brought it but i rather game a lil during some leasons once in a while so lol.
