So it starts on Friday when my 10 month old Dell 26” LCD TV decides to shut and not turn back on. Check Dell forums, seems to be a faulty power supply. No problem, call them up, they FedEX me a new TV and it arrives on Saturday.
After spending about 2 hours hooking up my new 26” TV (wall mounted, thats what took so long)...I was watching TV in my bedroom when my 2-3 year old 18” Viewsonic LCD TV died on me. Sound still works, but the display is gone…I tried changing inputs, etc, nothing.
So, I decide to go to bed and use my glasstrons…and boom.
The lightbulb in my lamp beside my bed dies. Common.
I am sort of afraid to touch other things in my house this weekend, I have the touch of death. (Its not the electic in my house, the bulb just ran its course, the Viewsonic is just old, and the Dell is a known issue).
I purchased a new Dell 19” LCD TV today to replace the Viewsonic.
While I am on the subject, I might as well tell you about a computer I purchased a few years ago:
Quantex PC
3Dfx Voodoo 3500 TV
Aureal Turtle Beach sound card
Yup, the computer company, video card maker and sound card maker all went out of business within a year or so of me buying the PC, talk about the kiss of death.
