I was able to undervolt my VGN-T350P/L to the following:

6x - 0.700V
8x - 0.700V
9x - 0.700V
10x - 0.716V
11x - 0.748V
12x - 0.796V

While on Dynamic Switching @600Mhz, the laptop runs at 47C and @1200Mhz at 54C

The hard drive is 37C-41C depending on access

I got 11% more battery time also.

Good tip for those that haven’t tried to undervolt their CPU yet.  I had my T set a bit more conservative and I tried to lower my settings to match yours with no success.  FYI, mine would run with your voltage settings and it would pass the short burn in tests built into CHC/NHC.  The reason I ran into problems is that I run SuperPI at the same time I do the voltage checks.  That really stresses out the CPU and represents a worse case senario.  My stable voltage readings came out at:

6X:  .700V
8X:  .716V
9X:  .716V
10X: .748V
11X: .780v
12X: .828V

So far mine is stable. I will do a full prime95 tonight.

Also my battery is worn a little bit more than what I’ve expected. The laptop is only 5 months old and I am getting 7076mAh or 56610mWh by BatteryMon.

It is far away from the optimal/original 7680mAh. I am wondering if it is reporting it right, or I lost 10% of the charge already!?

None of this makes sense.

To get the mAh you devide the mWh by the voltage of the battery.

56610 / 7.2 = 7860.5mAh

although batterymon is getting confused because my current battery voltage is 8.37V

56610 / 8.37 = 6764mAh which is still not the 7076mAh

Use CHC. YMMV

At least you will have your system running @48/49C on average and the drive @36-38C while browsing, emailing and using office applications.

If you have a T, make sure you have your CPU fan CONTROL set on Perofrmance. It also helps.

I tried 6X: 0.700V on my TR5 and it hung. Am currently running it at 6X: 0.732V.

Sadly, CPU Fan Control doesn’t work with the TR mainboards.

Strange. I do have VAIO Power Management installed, and my TR5 didn’t come installed with Powerpanel.

And, off-topic, everytime I close VAIO Power Management, I get an error saying “Run DLL As an App” has generated a problem, and a Dr. Watsons error dialog box comes up.

Not sure if it’s somehow related to the fact that I can’t get CPU Fan Control to work.

I just undervolted my T350P and got the following results. The way I did it was I ran SuperPi then immediately after ran the voltage check. This was all done while plugged into wall power though. Let me know what you guys think.

6X: .700v
8X: .700v
9X: .700v
10X: .732v
11X: .764v
12X: .796v

I also get CPU temps of 49*-50*C normally, 48* is my low, and a pretty static 39*C for harddrive temp.

another update if anyone cares, Battery life estimates 9:07 but stabalizes at 8:30. Also when its just sitting there on battery power its CPU is at 44*C, hd 39*C.  Normal use temps are about 45*-49*C now on battery power.  The battery seems to discharge at a much slower rate now, and thats saying something!, but the estimated time seems to be ultra sensative to use.  When I get the chance I’ll try to drain the battery through normal use (web surfing, non-cpu extensive games, music, normal stuff)

p.s. I’ve installed Notebook Hardware Control 1.9b and observed my laptop for the last few hours. My Hard Drive stays at 31C at most times and jumps to 38C when in use. Make sure you select Enable Spindown (1) in order to archieve these results.
