I was wondering if u guys know if the tr can play dvd+r or rw discs.  I have imation dvd+r discs. thx

In my personal experience, DVD+RW/R and DVD-RW/R discs can be read by my TR1. I suspect the TR2 (and TR3s for that matter) can do the same even though they’re all using different model optical disc drives.

Of course, my home deck is another matter…it only reads +R and -R….no RW (plus or minus) support for me. I guess it’s ok…at least it can read the more common types…

No problems with DVD+R and DVD-R discs in my TR2, which has the UJDA-755 drive mechanism. Haven’t tried the rewriteables, but I’d imagine they’d work fine too. I only use Sony and Apple media (made in Austria/Japan), I’ve never had a single bad burn in 100+ discs, while a cheap stack of Memorex discs (Made in Taiwan) had about half go bad. You get what you pay for I guess.
