Anyone know where I can get instructions on how to get the dust out of my LCD? The specs looks like dead black pixels but they move around when I press on the screen. The specs are inside the LCD between the glossy covering.

I also have same issue. It looks like dead pixels.

I had hair in mine T350.

U gotta send it in. I tried to talk them into giving me instructions on how to remove it, although they’ve claimed that if dust/hair gets under the glass, the package has been “broken” and needs to replace it. They will replace the whole LCD assembly.

If you haven’t noticed, the T and the TR has a crack at the bottom of the lcd. Cat hair got in there and I was blowing pressured air to clean my laptop. Instead of flying out, the hair went right in. Sony has stated that this is not the way it is supposed to be and the whole LCD assembly got replaced.

OOPS…I pryed one of those little rubber cusions off the LCD screen and it went flying somewhere, revealing a phillips head screw. So thats how they do it. I also notice that odd top plastic strip on the front back lip of the LCD comes off, but extreme care must be taken not to break it, since it apparrently snaps on and off. I may just go ahead and try to remove the front bezel frame of the LCD….now where is that little rubber thingy that flew off…

Found it. Searched around the desk and floor of my cubical, then saw it sitting on the T250 keyboard…apparently it did not go as far as I thought. I may post photos of the operation later…the little rubber cusions are glued on so I will have to re-glue them after I am finished. If I my little T250 does not survive the operation TX90 here I come… :wink:
