Hello,

I would like to test if the HDD of my “dead” ipod still work. A friend of mine found this ipod and the scren cracked. I m know checking around if it still works and if i can fix it.

As you guys probably know ipods HDD are Tosh’ 1.8”. Just like tthe ones of our TR. So I was wondering if there was any way i could try if it still works by instally the HDD in my tr. Since the TR is the only machine i have that uses 8”  hdd. I know i can buy an external usb case but if there is another way.. why not saving money..

I use external adapters…they go for about $0.01 + ~$5 shipping on ebay…makes life easy as they hook up to a standard 3.5” IDE cable. Anyway, they HDDs should be interchangable, so you could drop it in. Don’t forget you will need to format it for the TR to read the drive.
