I’m a relatively new T250 owner.  I turned off “tapping” on the toucpad because I quickly found out that caused all sorts of accidental clicking on the screen.

But I still have the problem that when I’m typing, part of my hand or finger brushes against the touchpad and moves the cursor or scrolls the screen, sometimes messing up what I’m typing.

Any solutions to this other than completely turning the touchpad off when typing?

I had exactly the same problem. Just go back to the touchpad utility and look at the function page. Turn off everything in sight. I never missed those touchpad functions.

Thanks, I’ll give that a shot.  Now that I’m thinking about it, the function that is causing my problem may be the scrolling-by-sliding-your-finger-along-the-edge function.

The best solution is probably just to hold your wrists higher as you type. Your wrists will appreciate it and you can keep using the advanced features of the touchpad.

I love having a mouse for my desktop and also having a Bluetooth mouse for my TR, but you know what I love the most about also having a touchpad on the TR?

The ability to do keyboard- and mousework at the same time, without the need to “switch over” my right hand to the mouse and thus into “mouse mode”.

How about you?
