I think it would be nice to see a section called How to - typically these are the posts from individuals who have spent the time documenting and showing others how to upgrades this, that and other.

Also, there is a small list of what not to do or not try!

If it could be segmented by vaio class that would also help reduce the number of reposts or questions regarding upgrades in the general sections. We could then pin the top or most frequent how to’s.

In addition to the above we could make list of vendors who carry the hardware(s) required to preform the mod(this also helps forums members in saving time and cost)

I agree with you fully 100%. It would be easier to find out what we want to accomplish also to prevent repetitive threads.
