Things to do before switching to atheros driver and control uilitily.
1. Disable the “windows zero configuration” service through: control panel-administrative tools-services
this disables the windows built-in wireless control program, which is useless after the atheros installation anyway.

2. Uninstall the original sony driver(LAN-Express AS IEEE 802.11a/g miniPCI…..) through: control panel-add or remove programs.

3. Uninstall sony’s “Wireless Switch” program.

For notebooks with atheros chips only. Atheros own driver and control utility not only superfast but will also enable Super-G and XR-Extended Range with chips support them such as the one on TR5B.
