I just sold my VC10 to buy the all new VC20 because of the new DV port and the + - compatability. There is one hitch…it no longer records off of the TV for movies that are macro (copywrite) protected. Since I use it more for a copy device and less for a DV camera copy device, I want the VC10 back.

So, I am offering my VC20 in trade for a VC10. If you have a VC10 and wanted to upgrade to a VC20 this is your chance to get it free. We would each pay shipping.

I ‘used’ the VC20 to burn 5 DVDs…3 failed because they were off the TV and 2 passed fine, those from my DV camcorder. Other then that, it’s brand new, with all the accessories, etc.

I figure we would each pay shipping and call it even.

I would need to know by Monday, 6/6/05 at the latest because if I can’t find anyone I will return it to the store as defective and pickup a new VC10. I figured this way my 20 doesn’t go to waste for someone who wants to upgrade.

Are you saying that VC20 will not record any TV programming or only the ones “flagged” with macro?

According to Tech Support, just ‘macro’ ones. I assume it’s part of the new firmware, which also speeds up the device.

Ok, so I just got a new VRD-VC10 and the same thing is happening, it stops after a few mins. So either the later VC10s are also copy protected or Comcast changed signals. Off to return another unit…
