They’re pitching it as an alternative to Windows Media Centre Edition. I installed it on one of my home PC’s (i’m in the process of researching stuff to build the ultimate home theatre PC).
It rocks. Open source, FREE, and it was hitch free to install. You can set it so it boots into it without ever seeing widows (yay!) and it played all my mixed up bunch of DivX, Xvids, mov’s etc stright outta the box. It looks like the Windows version too so it’s really simple to run, my TV, my Videos etc.
Supports heaps of TV cards by the looks of it and EPG in XTML form.
