Have you got your internal DVD writer drive yet? Just curious about if it is the right size if you can get the bezels swapped over easily and then the drive fitted. Would be nice to know for the future.

According to the guy, he sent it out 2 days ago…he ‘forgot’. Hopefully I should have it by Monday or Tuesday.

No. I paid in January and still did not get it. I contact him early Feb and he said he shipped it Feb 10th. I called him today and left a msg. I am hoping he didn’t send it and forgot vs. the mail lost it. I’ll be pissed if he didn’t send it insured or trackable.

what were the specs of the unit? Perhaps we can source another so we can move forward with the project.

I dont know anything about it besides it’s DVD+-RW and it has been tested in a TR and works.

I am holding out for a phone call or e-mail. I have no reason to think he stole my money.

On a side note, I just got Sony’s Cleaning Kit, Wireless Mouse, and Travel Speakers. I’ll do a review on each by this weekend.

I’ve had this 802.11abg card for almost a month waiting to be installed because I don’t want to open the TR twice. I can say I was upset at the packaging…basically a VHS sized Priority box with the card in bubble tape, taped to the wall of the box…not floating in peanuts as expected….if something would have cut into the box the card would have been destroyed…

Still no word on the DVD+-RW. I’ve contacted my lawyer about suing the guy…

On a side note, I got 3 more toys for the Vaio…
