regarding your hibernation problem… you say you have enough contiguous disk space, but is your swap file big enough? Try increasing it to an unreasonable number, just for a quick test. If hibernation on Windows is similar to how it’s done on Linux, all pages are saved into the paging area (i.e., the swap file on Windows)

It’s not written to swap in Windows, which is in a file called pagefile.sys. It’s compressed and written to a file called hiberfil.sys, which is typically on the system root.

Yeah, it’s totally not related to hibernation. My pagefile is more than big enough…besides, it’s not the size of one’s pagefile but rather how they use it that matters.  :wink:

Actually, it’s a known bug in Windows XP as tons of people have this problem.
