Have installed the Mashita UJ812 in my TR1 - thanks to everyone for the tips.  I can view DVD’s but how do I write Data to them - is there Sony Packet writing Software I can grad that will work on the Tr1?

If the software that comes with the T/TR is Sonic RecordNow, I’d highly recommend getting Nero or even Roxio Media Creator retail. Sonic is bundled with Sony’s retail DVD+-R drives and is highly problematic, including causing blue screens on my otherwise rock-stable desktop.
