Guys, this is so exciting! I got online on my PSP, googled some, checked my schools email….amazing. All you need to do is—change your primary DNS settings of your wireless connection to these numbers: 67.171.70.72
Save your settings and Vola, you will be online. One thing you gotta own WipeOut game and be in the game mode.
Enjoy!
P.S. I hope Sony updates our firmware soon so we can browse easier!

It’s not the IP address, it is DNS, I think some dude created a page to ease surfing, because it has a few links and a box to input your URL. Surfing on PSP is a bit slow and currently it does not support a lot of things that Internet uses. So we’ll have to wait until Sony does some dramatic changes.
I don’t own a PSP nor do I really intend on getting one, but I found this thread to be somewhat interesting. What type of web browser is included in this? Is your “surfing” the Internet secure? Does it use at least 128-bit encryption? If it does then you should be okay, but if it’s not at least 128-bit I wouldn’t surf on that at all.

It supports WEP, and I believe it’s 128-bit. WPA is not supported yet, I hope in the next revision of the firmware..

Bah, who cares ? You’re not going to do some online shopping nor doing ebanking on your psp anyway ... It’s pretty good and unexpected to be able to check some fresh rss feeds and your mail while having a chat on the go using nothing else than your psp
[quote author=“Archival”][quote author=“VAIOfreak”]Have you changed the DNS numbers? Once you change those it will take you to another page.
Yup exactly that DNS number..
Do you have a DLink router ? It took me several hours to find that, but most of DLink Router overwrite the DNS Settings so you have to change the Primary DNS to the stated IP (keep your usual one as the second DNS in case of the first one fails)
