Hi, its me again.
I got mine at this web site. I made an order, and the package came in the next day. I guess it depends on where you live. Since I live only 2hrs away from their Head Quarter, I was able to receive the package within 24 hours.
I think I already made comments about my Refurbished TR2AP3. Everything is cool so far. They give you 10 days policy before you can return or replace your laptop. I asked them about pixel policy, and they said that it is not part of SONY policy, but they(CleanersClub) are willing to swap your Laptop with other ones. I have 2 stuck pixels, but I’m just planning to keep it. I don’t see it, unless I think about them. It looks similar to other 10 dusts on my screen. Screen gets dusty pretty quickly. I don’t know, but its really up to you dude. I saved $400 bucks, and I’m happy with it. (well, little less than $400, maybe $350 to be exact)
Let me know if you decide on this one. I would love to hear your comments on it as well. Just want you to know that not all Refurbished one have dead pixels. Good Luck.
P.S Have i told you that wireless internet is Hella Fast?
because of your words, I think I will buy the refurbished one!! you made me more confidient about buying the refurbished TR notebook… I’m really glad that I have information before buying this…
Again thank you & when I get my TR notebook, i’ll post some info also for those who are hasitated to buy the refurbished ones…
then again? do they really have 16 items on stock? or do they do updates alot? again i’m just curious. Every day i check this website, there are always 16 items on stock so…. just wondering….
Anyway the whole point is to thank you chococat518…
Yeah, they are pretty updated with their items. I actually made my order through the phone. I wanted to make sure they have them on stuck, and their quantity items matched with the Website. So I can conclude that their Website is pretty updated.
Honestly, I hesitated for a week before I ordered TR2ap3, because I searched for days to find reviews on refurbished laptops. After finding nothing, I thought maybe I will be the one putting comments about this specific item.
Have you notice that Clearance Club had some worst reviews? This is one of the reason why I hesitated, but all complaints were on their bad customer services not on their refurbished items. I’ve realized that all refurbished items are not from Clearance Club, but they are straight from SONY Factory. So even its deffected, it’s not Clearance Club’s fault. My package was completely sealed in the Factory Box, and they just shipped it as it was. As long as I get my item, I could really careless about their low customer services. Infact, they were pretty nice; I asked so many questions, but they respected my questions and answered politely.
Maybe one advice I can give you, don’t just take my word, but really expect some risk involed in this. Not everything is perfect you know.
I’m glad that my comments helped you.
They are located in S. California, Burbank (L.A Area).
They do take Visa Credit Card; they are gonna send you a form to fill out and you have to fax it back along with a copy of your Credit Card and Driver License. It’s for customer’s credit security I guess.
I did it like in 2 minutes.
Another thing, even you order it today, they are not going to send it until Tuesday (Monday is a Holiday). It don’t make any difference.
I’m on line right now if you have more questions..

Thats a good place to buy from then…it shows they actually care if your happy or not…
After much thought and reading on this site I decided to place my order for the TR2AP3 at clearingclub.com. I called a few days prior to make sure I could pickup the unit, thereby save on shipping, from their warehouse since I work rather close—the lady who answered said it be no problem, just place the order and call them to arrange it.
I placed my order last Friday, their site at the time showed they had 16 in stock, and called them up to arrange a pick up and got the bad news that they actually sold their last one (how many times has THAT happened to anyone?) but that they have ten units coming by next Tuesday (today)—there is a post from Dave Accampo above reiterating this. Just for fun I checked their website the next day and noticed that instead of saying “16 in stock” it said “External Warehouse”.
I called them today as they had advised me to and the gentleman I talked to told me that now 1. they don’t have the shipment yet, and 2. they don’t know how many they’ll be getting anymore. He suggested that either I call back tomorrow or his supervisor will call me back. He sounded like I might never get my order which wasn’t very reassuring.
I can’t help but to feel extremely frustrated. I am keeping the faith with clearingclub.com, since they have been courteous and have tried to address my concerns, and hope for a happy outcome. However, in my opinion, in this time of instant information and status updates I feel that if you are going to advertise that you have something in stock then you really should have that item in stock—blown expectations is the first step to a bad buying experience.
Hi Dave, from the Clearance club.com… I just gave you a phone call about my order for TR2AP3 & just to let you know. My order ID is 8127974. When will the units be coming. Will they be coming today? Like are they on it’s way? my patiance is running low. If they do come today Please give me a E-mail… I need them by tomorrow….
Thanks for the update, I was just about to call to find out the status. As luck would have it, or should I say not have it, I’m the sixth order (the rep yesterday said there were five people ahead of me) so I guess I won’ t be getting one.
Are the TR2AP1s your offering for $2049 new or refurbished?
[quote author=“Anonymous”]
Now, my boss totally wants to make these orders happen, so for anyone interested, he’s offering to sell a PCG-TR1AP1 plus a free 512MB RAM chip for $2049.00 That means the only difference between the two units is the 802.11b vs. the 802.11g. If anyone’s interested in this offer, please give us a call.
Is $2049 for the “new” model or is this the “refurbished” model? Also, does your company match prices? One of your local competitors is selling a brand new TR2AP1 for only $2045. You may not get the “free” memory but at least it comes with a 1 year warranty.
Oh… Badrox. When did you ordered? I ordered it Friday of last week. Wow!! Very high demanding for ClearnaceClub.com… Dave must be busy with things. Well, I’m hoping to get my TR2AP3 by tomorrow…
